Hey, I'm Laurel!

This is me. Multi-Passionate dreamer!

I’m a Missouri girl at heart, now living in sunny California.

I have always felt, from the time I was a little kid singing and dancing around the living room, drawing and painting happily, or locking myself in our kitchen pantry for hours on end with a tape recorder to capture my songs and stories, that I am meant to create. 

But I haven’t always trusted that

Or just as importantly, SHARED that….

Instead I have often discounted myself. Discounted my dreams, my talents, and what I'm truly capable of. I have talked myself out of so many things, second guessed and doubted, and let fear and other peoples beliefs about what’s possible control me. 

And I KNOW I'm not alone.

You might believe you're not good enough or doubt yourself and your ideas, or question a lot of things. You might be lost and confused and completely overwhelmed with no clue how to possibly even start or where to focus. You may question what you even WANT. Or know in your heart, but still second guess yourself and decisions EVERY STEP OF THE WAY...

I GET IT

That's why I decided to dedicate this site to getting out of this "Stuck" mode creatives find theirselves in, and giving ourselves permission to follow our own unique path, FULL OUT anyway.

This idea is one of those projects that's been at the back of my mind for awhile and I do mean for awhile..You can read all about it here.  

I started Love Laurel as the ultimate accountability to myself, and as one GIANT EXPERIMENT to see what would happen if I actually started following that little voice instead of everything else.

I’m on a mission to reconnect to my first loves :)

For me that means creating and exploring in my writing, art, and in my MUSIC.  I’m so SO passionate about singing and songwriting. I have a love of performing (even though I’m an introvert!) and a background in stage and film. And I especially love musical theater!

I’m also super passionate about helping others move past their own fears and blocks and pursue and create what they’ve always wanted to!
